Totally unrelated to the OP, I found this same company. I have been talking to them (owner Greg) for a couple of weeks as they finished up the complete package they are offering. I have a unit shipping to me to me tomorrow or later this week. Nice to see that someone else took the plunge first. I will update when I get it and install it.

I am getting the same unit. Shipping later this week. Did you have to run a separate microphone with this kit. I am unclear on that part.

 

yes I did. you are gonna love it!! I do for sure!! They said they were working on one and was hoping to finish it soon. Would be a great way to round the kit out but all I did was buy an extra phone cable and left it permanently plugged into the usb cable they provided.

 

Can you upload a video to youtube and share it? Would like to see how this thing works.

Santiago was a great help. Can he get on here though? I thought these forums crapped all over companies selling products and kicked them out?

 

I put the mic above my steering column so it was an extra 5 min and you cant even really see it. I hear u though but it honestly wasnt that bad.

 

In response to kakwvu, I could post about the blindspot side cameras I added too thru my factory radio that turn on with my turn signals!? Ive had them for a year though and kinda forgot about it. Then can I be part of the inner sanctum??

Ill ask him. Im sure he'd at least chime in. He sounded more techy then a seller anyways. At least thats what I gathered.

 

FWIW: I was put in contact with Greg at GCH by the Korean manufacturer, NV Connect (http://www.nvconnect.co.kr/board/free/read.html?no=17&board_no=3001).

Member "Kwisak" posted on this site a while back about NV Connect having an option for the Tacoma (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/stock-head-unit-apple-car-play.576677/). No one wanted to risk ordering from Korea including me. I emailed them about six weeks ago and asked if they had a vendor in the US. They said they were in the process and gave me the number and email for Greg at GCH. I have been waiting for about three weeks for GCH to have the kit ready. Greg is shipping it out tomorrow. Looks like I will be guinea pig #2.

I am always skeptical. GCH seems to be more of a distributor that direct seller. I did find this as I researched the owner and the company: https://www.forbes.com/sites/lianey...end-the-right-hook-for-cyclists/#16b163cb1983. Made me feel a little better that they exist.

I received the kit today. This is what is in the box. I have to wait until Thursday to do the install due to work schedule. We are doing it at a friend's stereo shop so that way we have anything else we might need.
