Thanks! Where would I run the wires to? Also I saw you mentioned that v5’s will be easy to install if you get the puddles installed/future proofed- is that the case for the LE’s too or should I just wait for V5?

My LEs are set to turn on with the dash illuminations.
Off for "Off and DRL" and On for "Dash Lights and Low Beam" on the signal stock.

I believe if you have Auto headlights, they will also turn on and off depending on if your dash lights are on.

Hmmm- so they are always off when your DRL’s are on? Did you wire them per his instructions or did you do something different? I have been trying to get myself to use the auto light button more, but I do want to retain the DRL light function.

I am stalking the puddle light thread now and I am obsessed with yet another meso mod.. wonder if the “future proof” wiring will be applicable to LE’s in addition to v5’s.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
If you want them on anytime the DRL's are on just run it to the drl circuit. Little extra wire needed but not difficult.

Sorry if I’m not being clear. I want them to be off when the steering column is set to off, bright when the DRL steering wheel column switch is on DRL, and on but dimmed when the steering wheel column is set to low beams. Is this a pipe dream or possible?

As per the original instructions, the DRLs would turn on the instant the car is on. Then dims with the dash illumination.
I do not recall the wire colors, but I thInk I connected the red wire to dash lights instead of ignition, then just taped of the white wire.

This method means you have no DRL "dimming"
But I'll take that over not being able to turn them off.

The other way to make it truly like the trucks DRLs, is to run a long line and tap into the headlight DRLs.

Might be possible, if the headlight DRLs have two wires to tap into for full and dimmed.

Even then, dimmed does not seem all that dim, it is still laser bright.

I think you can run on dimmed mode only also, just swap the connected wires. Not sure if it works like that though...

Thanks for your help man. In that case, IDGAF about the dimming feature anymore (unless anyone has another solution), really just want to be able to turn them off when switched to off and then turn them on for DRL/Low beams. Would auto lights help with this?

I do not have auto lights on my truck, but if it is anything like the auto lights on my Corolla, then it would work as if manually switching it.

You can also just add a switch to the red/white wires so you can turn them on and off when you want them on and off.
