I did that and the guy came to my job and did it. I'm worried about doing that often because my rates might go up

Also, alot of repair shops charge less to replace a window if it's coming out of your pocket instead of the insurance company. When My windshield was replaced on the Neon, he quoted me $400, but then only charged me $300 when he found out that insurance wasn't paying for it.

    Stereo, d-rings, still pretty new
Mine is in pretty bad shape as well, has several cracks, a few chips, and some other damage. I still consider myself lucky though, even with $8,000 in damage to a two week old Tacoma. :D

The good news is a new windshield for a 2009 Tacoma only costs $221 installed.

I've got an 05 and I'm on my 4th windshield. Alberta winters can be tough with all the sand and rocks they lay down on the roads. Luckily they are only $325 installed here.

Haha, I know what you're talking about. Part of me wants to drive home for Christmas to try the new truck on the highway, and part of me wants to fly because I know what winter roads are like in Alberta.

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.

That's where I got my first window chip (and only window chip).
