Check this out boys. Front flares from the tacoma fit on the 80 series. Covers all but 1 hole from the original fenders.
Hope i get as lucky with the rears.

Did you rattle can it yourself? Remove any trim, or just carefully masked everything off by eye?

How long a breaker bar do you like? 18" long enough? Or 24"? I see some thutties out there, but think they might begin to flex a bit.

Yes i rattle canned it myself.color is rustoleum satin olive. i sanded it all down and then masked off the lights and windows. Very little regard for perfection on this rig. Im starting to love it.
Its a low buck truck. Anything i buy for it will be from selling old stuff i dont use anymore, mostly from my taco.

    Dewalt 20v ftw
Mine was the 1200lb ft breakaway. Great for swapping tires like a pit crew. Or swapping a full suspension using it the whole time and barely using any of the battery life.

I kept it in the truck just for a lazy man's lug wrench. Unfortunately it stayed in the truck..and perished. Probably do need one for work though.

Edit... Y'all are assholes. If you want to try out the dewalt, it'll be here in 2 days. :frusty:

As much as I hate to agree with duracrap lovin croc boy here, I'll 2nd the Dewalt. Have one and love it. It's got 3 settings so you can dial it down and not break your studs off. I find 2 is almost perfect then finish with a torque wrench.

I like my 10" breaker bar (with lifetime warranty). When it's not long enough I angle it just right to get the floor jack underneath and jack up to work against the truck weight :D

Is that why you have a more SFW avatar now?

My '04 DC frame has some spotting going on. I am going to get in this week or next to have a "frame inspection" done. When my mechanic lifted the truck and let me spend as much time underneath wandering around taking pictures... I saw spotting like this here and there. Tapping everywhere with a ball peen hammer did not reveal, to me anyway, any "flaking" or penetrations that I could tell.

Can these "spots" be wire or flap wheeled off, and then re-sprayed with some sort of corrosion-inhibiting sealant or undercoating?

Looking at some toppers and was hoping to get input on pricing. Found a Leer 100xl for $1100 installed out the door. Looks like no headliner so I'd have to do that myself. Color matched and my truck is a kinda rare color (indigo ink/blue ribbon pearl) and looks in good shape. This sound like a good deal to you guys?

Yeah that does sound like a good deal if its color matched already. I had to order mine new since i wanted windoors and the re enforcement built in. Was not cheap i paid close to 2600 bucks. Im a big guy and i wanted the reenforcement for my tent. Finding that used was tough so i bought new.
