This is why I don’t have a wife. So I can give my truck more attention.

Im only 18 but maybe this is why all my ex girlfriends hate me. I didn't give them as much attention as my truck!

Just pulled the trigger on a set of SPC uppers and two new top plate spacers to help level out my lift. Now I just need to decide what I’m doing with my wheels so I can order tires...

I’m still torn on wheels... can’t decide whether to stick with the 7.5” wide Sport wheels, order the 7” wide SEMA TRD wheels or go aftermarket with the 8” wide FN FX Pro wheels.

I don’t really want the wheels/tires sticking out any further than they do now (which the FN wheels would) and ideally I’d like to ditch the wheel spacers I have now. I could do that without changing the current position of the wheels much at all if I bought the SEMA wheels, since they have a lower offset. And I’m all but sold on the 34x10.5x17 BFG KO2s since I don’t really see a need for 285s and I should be able to fit the 10.5 inch wide tires without too much trimming considering they’re only a hair wider than my current 265s.

I can safely mount those tires on my OEM wheels or the SEMA wheels but if I want to go with a wider tire I need to stick with OEM or go with the FN wheels. The biggest issue with the 34x10.5 tires is the extra $350 or so it costs to get those versus a set of 285/70/17s...

I just wrote my death sentence last fall :( . I figured if her and I don't last I am not doing it again. We've been together for 5 years, she was getting antsy so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Our wedding is planned for next spring lol.

I wish you the best of luck!

I got married too young, and just wasn’t ready for all that entailed. I made the mistake of thinking that, after 6 years of dating, marriage was the most logical next step. Now, here I am 14 years later asking myself what the fuck did I get myself into...

And for me, as things started falling apart and I witnessed the end of my marriage, I said the same exact thing. Why would I ever want to do this again? But as usual, time heals all wounds and I’ve learned a lot about myself in the last two or so years. I’d consider getting remarried at some point in the future but it would have to be with the right person. And right now, I’m not really in a position to be searching for someone. I’m still trying to pickup the pieces and adjust to life as a part time, single dad. But that’s definitely not stopping me from enjoying things I like to do, like buy shit for and work on my truck!

So I’m leaning towards keeping my 7.5” wide OEM Sport wheels and I’m wondering... you guys think I’ll have better luck fitting 285/70/17 tires if I swap out my 1” spacers for 1.25” spacers? I wouldn’t mind the extra 6mm or so of poke and I think it would look really good with the wider tires. I’d like to order new tires ASAP (before I spend my bonus money on anything else) and I’m thinking I don’t really need new wheels. It’d save me over a grand to keep my stock wheels and buy the cheaper, wider 33” tires. I just may need to trim some plastic and possibly bug someone to help me with a CMC.

Can someone briefly explain why I'd need new UCA's if I got a small lift? Doesnt make a lot of sense to me, but pardon me not knowing haha

I’ve been running 2” of lift (with 1” wheel spacers) and stock UCAs for over two years. No issues at all with 265/70/17 tires. The reason I ordered UCAs is because I’m taking my front lift up closer to 2.5” and I want to try to fit 33s without doing a CMC. It probably won’t help but the other benefit to the adjustable UCAs are more ideal alignment specs and they should help with the drifting/wandering feel on the highway that comes with driving a lifted truck on stock UCAs

I guess the main reason for me looking into a lift is to support weight that I am going to continue adding on, especially in the back and maybe a more lowkey front bumper (like the c4 fab). Wont get bigger tires until mine die out (they are like 2k miles in). Just curious

I’ll sell you my C rated 265/70/17 BFG KO2s for cheap as soon as I get them off the truck. They’ve got about 40k miles on them and I’ll measure the remaining tread depth when I get them off.

I have 265/70R16 on that I bought new in January. Only like 2k miles on them, so they're staying for awhile.

Ugh, I’m so torn. I think I’ll swap the spacers for the 1.25” regardless but I can’t decide whether to spend the extra ~$350 on the slightly taller, thinner 33s or get the 285s... Too bad you can’t try tires before you buy them. I’d just buy a set of both and see which one looks and fits better if I could...
