That's nice and all, but I can't be bothered on my 5" phone screen.

Basically copying @ToyRyd04 setup, he just addressed the issue much faster than me.

What’s the best/easiest way to figure out shock length and bump stop hieght? Breaking down the pack to the main leaf and cycling? It’s a Wheelers 8 pack, so nothing crazy...but the 10” 5125s I currently have on appear too long. And now need replacing since I haven’t been running tall enough bumps :anonymous:

Ya, I'm still kind of getting used to the feel with no sway bar also, so I'm not trying to make any sudden movements anyway... It did great on the freeway to work this morning. Could hardly notice it was there.

I can't lower mine though. I wouldn't be able to use the side boxes with it lower. It would drive me nuts never being able to use the rearview mirror. With it this way, I also have full use of the bed (at least what's left of the bed with the side boxes in there... lol)

I'm very used to no rear view mirror. Been driving with trailers and other things that always block it anyways but I know your concern. Just would take time to adjust. Side boxes..well idk haha you'd find other ways to pack things.

But run t for a while. It works just fine as long as you don't get the urge to be a speed demon much. Or do any bad off camber stuff.

I went so far as to make a set of covers for my bar. I've heard that in W.Va. (I'm there often) local cops will pull you over, just for having them. Figured it might save a hassle.

Can someone with a V6 help me out and get a measurement from this bracket that holds the power steering lines to the bottom of the crank pulley?

    IMAG0834.jpg

Or if someone sees an easier way to get a measurement from the frame to the engine that would work as well.

The weight really shouldn't be an issue. The difference between the weight of my stock bumper and tailgate compared to this...

Is quite a bit more than the weight off the tent... and it's quite a bit lower.

You'd think so. But leverage isn't your friend here.

Not trying to make you change it. Just giving you fair warning.

Thanks for grabbing that for me. Would be nice to see one more that's hopefully close to your measurement.

Today I wished the truck a happy birthday. It turns 20 today around noon.
When I brought it home there was a Bed Rug, seat covers, Husky mats and the full FSM waiting. The cap had been ordered. 2 weeks later I was drilling holes in the dash for what would come to be known as the "2lo and locker anytime" mods and sealing the locker actuator.

If no one else does I can get it in about an hour, right down to the Westcott ruler.

That's a huge difference! What do you attribute that to??

@Squeaky Penguin Can't get the camera down there but it measures the exact same as Mr Gyrkin.

A combo of me being stupid and some TG motor mounts.

I welded in new motor mount perches, which I thought were at the right height, but evidently they aren't.

Most of the difference however is the TG mounts.

Thank you Sir! Looks like it's back to the drawing board. :pout:

I saved an old dude from walking a couple miles to phone service today. He got stuck in some mud and blew his truck up trying to get unstuck (02 Tacoma with 290k), wouldn’t let me try and pull it out. Once he made a phone call he told me to leave him while he waited for his son to come get him, wouldn’t take a lighter or let me start him a fire. Grumpy old bitch

Am I the only one thinking there was a meth lab or some such in the bed of the truck under a tarp?
