This that and the other thing.
There is a guy on FB in the Ontario Overland group who works for BRMB. I mentioned to him about starting a GB and putting the word out in the group on FB too to get some bigger numbers. told him we already have 8 guys interested. He said it was a great idea and that he will talk to them tmrw.

What are some good spots to camp on Manitoulin? I wanna go for a weekend this summer with Amy, I looked at some campgrounds but I think we want somewhere off the beaten path near a body of water so we can canoe.

    Sounds good!

I've made a slight modification to the route between Owen Sound and Wolseley, so now we go straight through the Grey Sauble Conversation Area and Lindenwood Conservation Area.

    Day: Saturday March 30th
    Time: 9:00am
Location: Starting Point at the Cheltenham Badlands with Rally points for additional Drivers (listed below)

    The Bruce Run
    1. @Zulupapa
    2. @Atlas86
    3. @tgelata **Pike Bay**
    4. @cramper **Owen Sound connecting**

    Rally Points:
Approximate arrival TIME in 24 hour clock * NAME, Address (Notes)

0900 * Cheltenham Badlands Parking Lot, 1763 Peel Regional Rd 12, Caledon, Ontario
    0945-1000 * Tim Horton's, 230 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 5K2
    1000-1016 * Ultramar, 202373 County Rd 109, Grand Valley, ON L9W 0R1 (15 minutes east of Arthur)
1040-1100 * Mount Forest- TBD Has some of the cheapest gas along the route between Caledon and Owen Sound. Route has us bypass town about 6 minutes east of town on Southgate Sideroad 49.
    1056-1116 * Alderson's Repair, 313041 Hwy 6, Varney, ON N0G 1R0 (4 minutes south of Durham)
1230-1330 * Tim Horton's, 957 10th St W, Owen Sound, ON N4K 3H8 (There is a McDonald's next to the Timmies for those who want food.)
1420 * Lake Charles Presbyterian Church, QX5Q+P5 Lake Charles, Georgian Bluffs, ON (meet here, because it looks like a good chunk of the road after looks like the image below for Colpoys Range Road)
1530 * Cedar Hill Park, Grey Rd 1, Wiarton, ON N0H 2T0 (go/no go point for further up the Bruce. Vehicle checks, etc.)

Just a heads that the Cheltenham Badlands parking lot and viewing platform is gated and closed during the off-season, we went past it Saturday and it’s closed and I’m not sure when it opens.

apparently winter ends in May?? huh, how un-canadian lol

    Good catch @zuknewbie thanks!!

There's an alternate area around the corner on Creditview... but it decidedly lacks a view of the badlands.

    so, that leaves us with Rally points at;
    Tim Horton's, 230 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 5K2
Ultramar, 202373 County Rd 109, Grand Valley, ON L9W 0R1 (15 minutes east of Arthur)

Figure Orangeville covers the Golden Horseshoe crowd and Grand Valley takes care of the folks west of the Escarpment.

    How's that sound??

Revising the map in a moment.

    Day: Saturday March 30th
Time: 9:00am (Orangeville) 9:15am (Grand Valley)
Location: Starting Points at the (see above) with Rally points for additional Drivers (listed below) to join us as we go.

It takes quite a while to do all the things, we started at 10am finished at 2pm.

Just the small things eat up a ton of time. Sealing the holes in the stock air intake under the hood, to make sure the entire intake is water tight. Smoothing the cut stock air intake after loping the end off with a skillsaw, to ensure good airflow :cookiemonster:

Dremel with a Tungsten Carbide Cutter for Steel was very important. Used it for all the things.

I am really happy with the quality of the Dobinson snorkle.

We'll see how the eBay snorkel looks when it finally arrives..
With mine I'm actually not planning on using any of the stock intake parts.
@Manfred I had to reorder my snorkel, I got a message from the vendor saying the parcel was returned. They refunded and I reordered. So yours will probably arrive a few weeks ahead of mine.
