Ok. So you’re probably getting a good reading. Now I don’t have a good answer.

Test them both in water. See if they both open at 160° .

When I get the new thermostat which should be Monday, that’s what I’m going to do. If they both open at the same time, then idk what else could be wrong with my truck that’s making it run hotter.

    *update”*
Looks like the original 160 degree thermostat I received from gadget may have been faulty. I just installed the new thermostat and my idle with ac on blast is at 175 degrees solid. Even after driving after what not . Temp varied from 175-181. As where the previous thermostat wasn’t keeping the engine at 185 at idle. Not sure if defected or improper opening because I did test it in boiling water. But interested to see how she does on the highway on my way to work tommorow morning.

Weird. Mine says no part found, when I search for the numbers you all posted. Won't even show me a shroud for an FJ past 2009

One of the rings on the new radiator was slightly bent on mine so it was more like an oval. I had to "persuade" it back to being round again. Other than that, no issues.

One of mine was too, I forgot to mention that. The bushing did pop right in though, no problem

Installed. Did not have to bend lines but did have to remove fan to make shroud fit.

UPDATE went to the moto-rad 160 deg T-stat also added the some of the seals 1-6 that Billdacat8 listed for the low performing A/C fix and temps are now 180-185F highway sustained 40-80 mph and it creeps to 190F in stop and go at roughly 80 -85f ambient and by the way A/C is way cooler and highest I have seen Transmission temp has been 190F where I would regularly see 195-205F this is a great mod.

    First "real" long drive:
From Beaumont, Tx to Lubbock, Tx, ......9ish hours. Through hill country, maintaining 80-90ish MPH....engine temps didn't go above 186.8°. Temps before this would be in the194-203°
I'm so happy I decided to do this radiator swap.
