Looks like things are starting look up. A little cooler than previously forecast but less rain.

 

I’ve been there when it was bone dry and had a dusty blast. I’ve been there when it rained all weekend and had a muddy blast. It doesn’t matter, yer’ gonna love it and it’s going to make moonlight feel like a postage stamp when you get back home.

Bring the following additional items:

• Gum boots
• Hardshell or rain slicker
• Hawaiian shirt
• Sense of humor

Grease everything you can now! Check all fluids now! Nothing worse than committing to a problem on a track and have your power steering pump start gasping.

 

Whats a rain slicker?

 

Something you kids never heard of. Stinky, usually yellow rubber rain coat.

Get primed and search for YouTube videos of trails #22, #30, #31. Those are just a couple that we are going to play on around the south side.

Also, if you are gadget friendly there is an app for that. Look into “offroad trail guide” as it has heaps of tracks all over the country in it. With the subscription you can zoom in really close on The tracks - Windrock Park is included - and better navigate around so you can get a more detailed view.

 

They stick together when wet and put away. And yes. Stink. Bad.

Here’s a screen grab. The pins are highlights to browse. Points of interest such as waterfalls, scenic overlooks and so on. Tracks are colored for easy route planning so you don’t have to keep flipping back and forth to the paper map legend.

 

So I've been watching a couple youtube videos. Trail 2 and trail 30 look fairly simple. 22 looks good as well with the exception of one part that is super narrow and hard right around a boulder. That might make me nervous without having sliders. I'll just have to put eyes on it at the time but that might be the point I turn around. If it was the other direction it probably wouldn't be anything but an uphill hard right around a boulder could be asking for trouble sliding into it. especially since I'm open/open.

 

What'd I miss about kbvodoo? I had great service with them.

That's a possibility. I have a side one. It's a think pad. Thinking I might just tape a bit of ear plug there and hope it does the trick. Tape and paper was my fix to block the camera.

Phone has location turned off and it's off the moment I clock off. ....unlike coworkers who use theirs for personal use

 

registry editor. go to start> type regedit. see if it lets you in. I doubt it will but for shits and grins

Only thing I've bought from them is remote start which has been working great. I was considering buying their rack because its 1 of few that work with tonneau cover. but after looking at all these posts I'm glad I went with Mobtown
