    This is what i did.

    I started with tweeters and doors. I did use the 3ways in the front and 2way in the rear, but went with the CS line (although i may end up upgrading them eventually). Then like 6 months later added the sub, then finally 6 months after that added the JL 4channel amp and noico. it was literally a 12month process for me, but the lack of funds is what dictated it for me.

    I have a bit of a phobia of putting 6.5" in my front doors again due to the terrible lack of bass response from those fosgates.. Is there a 6x9 that would maybe go well with the tweeters I have in there? The other factor is I only plan on ever using the head units amp so can't go to big... which is fine with me..

    I would look into Kicker cs, ds, ks or something from JL Audio. they both have multiple options.

    Adding an amp like the kicker key or something like that can help with the soundstage too.

    As an aside note, I usually read as much as I can on diyma.com before I start building out audio. I ask a ton of questions, wring my hands, etc.

    My system in the truck has evolved over the last year, and is going to evolve again this weekend.

    it starts somewhere....same...
    1st, I will just upgrade tweeters....oh that is nice
    missing something
    2nd, ok lets put something reasonable in doors
    well if I am doing that, might as well sound proof them
    Front and rear doors upgraded
    ...missing something
    3rd, ok Amp and Sub. (goes in this Friday)
    4th....G-DamnIt....hope that is it..I got Clazzio's to buy

    Holy crap so true.

    I did the $250 upgrade
    then changed it to something else
    then added an amp/sub
    then changed the speakers to all morels
    now the Entune has pissed me off so a Kenwood is going in....

    My build has like 28 audio posts.....

    I just purchased a highlander with entune as well.. def prefer my cheap pioneer headunit with android auto over it.. but I can't say I've had issues with entune.....

    My issues are 2 fold:

    1. Having to soft restart it every morning to recognize my thumb drive and ipod
    2. Low end drop off at high volumes. OEM head units are tuned to turn bass down at high volume as to not blow the OEM speakers.

    It's cheaper (and less frustrating) for me to buy a new head unit than throw in a DSP, then have to wire it an learn how to use it. I'm old school that way.
