    I keep having to pause my feeds to bring the temperature back in range. Should I extend feed time? Seems like 180 min should be enough for VA/BA @ 50% wt monomer. ..

    If the heat exchange in a fluid stream is causing a cooling process, then I would venture your feed rate is too high.

    That said, I have no god damn idea what I'm looking at.

    Haha that’s not meth, looks like somebody’s making a vinyl acrylic coating.....now where’s that going on the taco?

    Slower feed rate could help. Can’t hurt to run a water jacket on it too

    Kind of reminds me of the coffee from breaking bad....

    Water jacket is kind of cheating on this scale. This gallon reactor cools roughly the same rate naked as a 6000 gallon reactor with a full water jacket. Can't make it in the plant if you have to water cool it on agallon scale.

    This is a vinyl acetate - butyl acrylate copolymer approx 4C Tg. Soap stabilized. It has some itaconic acid in it too. Pretty mundane; it's what I'm going to make it of it in the next stage that is unique.
