You know not to crank it.....right?

I've seen a spark plug go through a hood before. Yes, right through......like a bullet.

And from experience, I know if you pit MMO in a cylinder and crank BY HAND, you will spray the ceiling.

Must have? Or did? You need to figure that out.

If you used a slightly large 12 point (instead of the correct 6 point) you may have rounded off the shoulders on the plug, not actually broken it loose.

You could try a slight turn to the right and see if that loosens the socket off the plug, then pull it out.

    Or using this suggestion
try the same idea to get under the socket and lift.

As a last resort, if it's not soaked in PB Blaster, put some super glue on the extension and reinstall it into the socket. Let it sit for an hour or so and go back and try and pull it out. You can get the two pieces apart later and put a little acetone or something on it to clean it back up.
On my Corolla, I let the plugs go a little long on their last change. I loosened them a half turn or so and hosed some WD 40 down the tubes and let it sit for a bit. They all came out pretty easy.
I know you're past that but for future reference....

Update, got it out ! Ended up rigging a thick wire and a 1/2” pin to slip into the socket and had to warm the engine and slide it out. No damage was done to the plug or the tube. Replaced the plug and truck runs perfect. The other 5 were hassle free after getting the right socket.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
This is a really handy extension that you can order from Napa. It has a lock so the socket will not come off until you press the button on the side. It works very well.

Simplest way to keep a spark plug socket on an extension is to wrap duct tape around the area where the 2 join together.

Anti-seize is your friend! On aluminum heads it is a must.

My 07 frontier has a scheduled interval of 105,000 on the spark plugs, and they came out just fine.

On the Dakota were they sealed inside a tube by the coil, or were they out in the open between exhaust ports like my old Chevy?

nada....maybe a license plate one day & BA bumpers
OP- was the tight spark plug the one nearest to fire wall on passenger side?
If so, I have the same issue
I first changed my plugs at 90k, then every 30k thereafter, & I am at 300k+ now
around 150k or 180k change I noticed my spark plug nearest to firewall on passenger side became a bear to remove
I always use anti-seize, btw....I may have cross threaded it during one of the spark plug swap outs & ever since then it is a serious PITA

the plug seems nearly impossible to turn for half of its removal, then it becomes totally loose & easy to rotate
I have to put so much force, I fear I am on the verge of snapping the spark plug
one day I worry I will & be in a really shitty place
all 5 of the other plugs come out piece-o-cake

I'm thinking on the next go around at 330k to put in 100k mile plugs, so I dont have to deal with this again until 430k miles

I'm telling y'all from many years (30 years) of swapping plugs out in Toyota 4 cylinder motors....
That last plug is always super tight and more difficult to remove.
    It's like a dry socket...

@droflakcin, thanks for updating us and congratulations! Couldn't have turned out better for you!!

@Chiloquin_Car_Care, you need to chase out that problematic plug socket. You're running on borrowed time and one day you're gonna screw yourself royally.
    Good luck..
