It appears most of the route is backroads. Risk is always inevitable but should be a pretty tame route from my understanding.

    @TegoTaco
I'm a noob too and have been looking through every municipal GIS, Google view and Instagram shot I can of this route.
Other than a couple of blind spots (the north bound road through Alan park conservation area & stretches of colpoys range road) everything should be a nice scenic drive.

Depending on what everyone brings to the convoy gear and experience wise will be used to determine whether it's safe to proceed on more challenging terrain. My truck is my daily driver and I speak for myself when I say That if we hit a stretch of road where someone doesn't want to risk their vehicle to go ahead and detour around it and we'll (hopefully) meet you on the other side I'm not competitive and rather we all enjoy our day and make it home safely.

Hopefully that made sense. Don't usually post here from my phone lol

If Eugene isn't there you're good.
He likes to break balls if you're not willing to do something you personally feel there's more risk and you don't want to take it.

If it’s a day trip I still might still try and make it out.

Mine are front and the passenger side always goes out first.
I don't know about the rear.

I'm likely not bringing the dogs, so it has to be a day trip.. plus my current tent is a massive beast to setup on my own lol

Overnight trips would have to be smaller affair so I can introduce my shepherd to people in a more relaxed environment.

I’m more afraid of damaged body panels, I have no sliders, I’m lifted but I’m not ready for any crazy rock crawling lol...just want to have fun, have the experience especially with my two boys.

I already sent @OverlandRacksOntario an idea for sliders. I'd like to keep my body panels intact in future ($10Gs in repairs from getting hung up on a tree eff !)

It's ok .In time it will pass lol.
You slowly start to accept more and more until you're like Peter and all you say is as long as I get home.

I'd really rather not damage and try my hardest not too. I just take it easy and if I'm not comfortable I don't go .Even if it means needing to hear it constantly from others lol.
My truck is my daily and without it I can't get to work.
If I get another car for daily like Peter did I might follow him down that line of as long as I get home lol.

Realistically if you're not comfortable in an area you're probably more likely to do damage, and if you're not comfortable most of us are fine with turning around.
    And to work.
Need work to make money to afford breaking shit

We all don't want to break anything as well. I think as you get more comfortable on the trails and see what the truck can do, we challenge ourselves a bit more. The small climb isn't fun anymore, you want the larger one. Natural progression. Everyone's choice is respected at the end of the day.
