I got a "D" in algebra and barely passed basic math... I have trouble making change most days.

 

My nephew is an engineer for a company that makes weed killer. He always talks way over my head too. I just nod intelligently and ask to take a ride on his train. No way I'm drinking his coffee.

Alatex with a larger particle size will have alower viscosity than one with a smaller particle size, all other variables held equal. Why is that?

 

I was using the wrong volume, that's why my OoM was off. 9.55E17 rounds to 1.0e18 give or take a few thousand trillion

 

because the smaller particles can slide over the other smaller particles in a given space better?

Good reasoning. The particles interact at their surface, so lower particle size, more particles, exponentially higher surface area.
