Its the leg going through and the body going the other followed by a sharp snap that scared me with them. So fill plates were peace of mind

 

Oh yeah. So much time I haven't even welded my own sliders to my truck yet. Lol.

 

Do it. Made my first set of hi lift mounts in a parking lot with some drill bits, a drill, and a hammer. Used my tailgate as a workbench. They were extremely ugly.

 

So this eBay sale has me thinking of getting an ARB compressor. Don't really care to spend a ton of money but I will if I'm convinced. What are yall's thoughts on the dual vs the single compressor? Pros/ cons?

Doesn’t look bad. What position were you welding that? Vertical? Horizontal? We’re you pushing or pulling?

From the looks of it, I’d turn your heat up a bit and try and go for some more penetration. Also, on the top weld, try and increase your travel speed a bit to get a flatter weld.

 

So you going to swing by the meet and greet?

I have a single that works fine. Only air up one truck though because sob gets hotttttt.

 

15 minutes or so probably. Depends on how cool it is outside.

 

We found plenty Yesterday.

 

I have the ARB Dual and can say if it wasn’t for lockers or if I couldn’t get same deal I got, $300 new, I wouldn’t care about on board air.

I’d buy a small pancake and plug it in the bed.

I bought this today for portability and the 6.5cfm @90
