I have a Keystone Bullet Crossfire 1800RB and it has a full bath, Murphy bed 13,500 but ac, stove and oven, everything perfect for 2. It weighs 4400 lbs "wet". I haven't towed it much yet, but I don't for see any problems. I have a 2018 Taco TRD 4x4 with AT and tow package. I'm going to put on some air bags soon.

Picked up this little thing last week, towed it about 7 miles home so no real reviews on the towing capability yet. 3,100lbs dry and felt fine so far.

So after asking the dealership how much it was going to cost to install an 7 pin harness (factory $1019.00) I’ve decided to wire it myself.

Even with my limited mechanical abilities The Tekonsha OEM wiring harness and brake control adapter seems easy enough to hook up. https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Tekonsha/22117.html

I’ve been looking everywhere for an install video to assist me especially with the trailer brake control potion of the install. My 2017 dbl cab sport does not have the brake controller pigtail already installed. It seems easy enough as it comes with a splicer for the “cold” brake wire.

Can anyone provide tips or links to instructions or videos how to get the wiring from under the vehicle into the cab and where access to get through the firewall inside the cab to run wires? Really not the best here when it comes to wiring and My web searches have not been to successful. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Picked up this little hybrid TT today. Just around 3000lbs dry. Drove it 50 mostly freeway miles home and it was a little bouncy without the weight distributing hitch that should be here in time for our first trip. Was an otherwise comfortable tow. Hello All,

Been lurking and trying to decide if I want to take the dive into a 3rd Gen or if a full size truck is the route to go. The wife wants a boat something bad, we have been looking at smaller center consoles with a rough wet weight with boat, trailer and "supplies" of around 4500 lbs. Now I know this is below the max tow limit of the Tacoma but have heard mixed reviews from people on this thread of that being close to the comfortable tow capactiy. Wouldn't be towing very far maybe 10 to 15 miles here and there.

Trying to honestly avoid a full size as I think the Tacoma would be nicer around town for parking etc. Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

That's light enough that I wouldn't worry. I mean a modern taco is the size/power of a ten year old 1/2 ton.

4800......but with dual axle trailer with brakes/controller makes it an easy day. About 14.5-15 mpg.

Lots of shifting. First pull with the new truck. Had to get used to the transmission. ECT on. The snow on the roads didn’t help at all. Thinking about installing 1 inch left blocks to the rear to my stock suspension.

Sumosprings, airbags or a full new leaf spring set. Blocks will make ride and towing axle-wrap worse.

The OVTune 91 performance makes a huge difference when towing. Took it out before tune and it did it’s job up the mountains. Taking it back out in a couple weeks and seeing how this tune helps with the uphill
