I sent an email/ticket to Support on Mar 4th but didn't receive a response (except for the automated response 5336). I have/had a very bad shuddering issue (misfires?) when switching from 93 performance to 93 base. I put 140 miles on it but couldn't take it anymore. Between ~1000-1500 RPMs my entire truck would shake violently. Pushing the pedal harder didn't help. I'd have to use the sport shift to get it out of that RPM range.
But like I said after 140 miles miles I switched back to 93 performance and while it's still there, it's not as bad. I still have to sport shift it sometimes but I *think* it's clearing up.

Can anyone explain what this is (hopefully was)?

could be a variety of things:

    crappy fuel (winter gas)
    fuel isn't actually 93
your truck didn't properly clear learning values on flashing
your truck doesn't like the 93 tune for some reason
    Bad CPS sensor

If there's serious issues you should contact mat (which you've already done) and flash to a different tune or back to stock (mats recommendation).

Mine does the same after more than 1000 miles on the 93 perf tune (2019 AT 04B30).

The stall/stumble between the lower gears can be rather jarring if you're not prepared and thinking about it, so I've done my best to avoid high revs altogether. However, there are also times when it's extremely difficult to avoid, such as when I'm accelerating quickly to catch up to traffic on a highway. On more than one occasion, the jarring stall has caught me off guard and forced me to scramble to recover enough speed to enter the highway.

I'm very much looking forward to the milder hybrid tune Mat is working on as we speak. Until then, we just need to be hyper vigilant and sensitive with the throttle. In other words, don't floor it in first gear, which is a fair enough compromise for all the fun we can have with the tune at other times.

Mat said he has not touched the shift schedule for the adaptive cruise yet, but there is still a big difference from stock. Mine loves 5th gear now and rarely goes to 4th. Stock I was going to 4th every time the wind of a passing car hit me. I can't wait for Mat to really tune the adaptive cruise.

Has anyone who updated their ECU Calibration from 04B03 to 04B04 had to explain to their Service writer why the Calibration has changed since their records indicate the vehicle should be on 04B03 with no records of being updated through Toyota USA? (while still being under warranty) Just curious...

dont think so.. in the unlikely event one was to ask, I'd just say I had another dealer do it and they must not have documented it

That's why I am still 04B03. Thought it might be better to wait for Mats update. I may be wrong though.

Tell them the truth. You updated the ECU yourself with Techstream and the cuw file. This software is not restricted to dealers. But I doubt they would even ask.

my dealer could not replicate the issue and said no - that was just a lazy ass way of saying they did not want to mess with it. I had it done by a member. If the dealer ever asks - which they won't because I won't let them even wash the windows - I tell them the TSB per EPA regulation is for ALL applicable vehicles (not VIN specific) up to 80,000 miles and is not part of the standard warranty (36K or 3 yrs). I guess one of your lazy dealers failed to record it.

If u deactivate your adaptive cruise u can use the old school cruise which seems to work a lot better for my highway driving style. Then when u turn off the truck it defaults back to adaptive cruise

I have a 2019, Stock everything. K&N intake but that shouldn’t affect it shifting And it is different on the 91 tune vs the 93 tune. Mine won’t even shift out of second 3/4 in the pedal using the 93 tune. On the 91 tune it’ll spike hesitate and then shift. Other than that the performance tune is awesome! I bet it would be a hoot if you could stay in it. I have a Ticket with Mat.

I have the same ECU and issue. Please keep me in the loop if Mat provides you with any sort of fix!

About 30 minutes, maybe less if you're ambitious.
