Good evening ladies and gents! As I scheduled my first maintenance appointment today I was surprised to learn the oil weight for these trucks.

0w20 want wait I was expecting, such a this light weight for oil.

Coming from Subarus, I swore by (and still do) Shaffer Oil.

    Anyone else running Shaffer Oil?

    Any other recommendations?

Thanks ahead of time for your opinion!

    Cheers

There’s a ton to read on here about oil....I think you’ll find that it’s more about maintenance schedule than oil brand that’ll get you to 500k miles

Glad you got the stick, it’s the way to go

Schaeffer is one of the best oils you can buy. Expensive. But good.

I use shaeffer oil, I run 5-20 since it seems to be inherently thinner. Nothing to report one way or another, but good oil or so I’ve heard

x2 Mobil1 has treated all my cars well. I'm not going away from it. I'll be replacing the factory oil with Mobil 1 at 5,000 miles.
