Finally got mine today after it sat in my neighbor's house for a week and I'd thought someone walked off with it from my porch. Fit is ok I guess, but not amazing. The version I got didn't use any screws to hold it on, so it's really only held in with the (loose fitting) plastic clips, and could still rattle separately from the painted trim. There's also a slight gap between it and the painted trim all the way around, where the OEM grille has the additional chrome bezel.

So overall I'm not super impressed with how secure it is, and it could probably be puilled right off from the front of the truck. I did push the captive washers holding the 2018+ sensor garnish plastic so it wouldn't rattle in the grille while driving.

    I got this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Front-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I like the idea of the cheaper route because odds are you'll need to fix road damage at some point, I already hit mine with some plastic paint to touch it up and it looks new!

Wow, didnt even think of doing that, has got to be the easiest and most economical option, where did you get the vinyl? Have to cut and install yourself? Although I may just wait and get the 2020 trd pro wheels, they are sick.

I have since sold these wheels, but there are members here on T.W. that sell these vinyl overlays in different colors. Bought mine off ebay. There are a ton of Tacoma parts and accessories here, ebay and Amazon. Use that search window on the top right corner of these forums and finally...:spending:

I recently bought the eBay grille with garnish for $99. This one had the whole Toyota section that used 4 screws to screw it to the main grill. The screws it came with did not grab the sides of the screw holes so I had to use bigger screws then it was still loose so I tack welded it with super glue and ran a few beads of superglue to completely secure it. The garnish piece did not fit properly as I had to shave it and the slot down and still couldn’t get a complete fit as all but on clip would clip in place so I tack welded it with super glue also. The 3rd screw for the sensor didn’t grip in the oversized hole in the grill so I modified it with zip tie ends and some glue in the hole. Grill is still loose as it can shake a little and currently looking at fixing up some shims to tighten it down. I think there’s a larger gap between the grill and painted section. Going to compare it to the next pro I see. You get what you pay for.
