    Nice. There were actually a number of posts recently in the LT BS thread of people mentioning that their's were mounted straight to the frame boxing plates like @Arcticelf mentioned. I'll be having mine mounted like that.

    While I was under there I considered it, but square tubing is cheap and I wanted it inboard a little more. Not much, only like 5” or so.
    Where’s the fun in that?!
    Yeah no kidding. That would have saved me like 30 min of cutting.

    Not that it matters much, but doesn't the axle move forward as it droops due to the rear leaf shackle swinging? Probably doesnt matter, but I know you said you wanted it directly above the axle

    Probably! I don’t think it needs to be directly above it at full droop, I just want it close. My plan is to set the axle at full droop and then weld the cross tube in, so I can tweak it accordingly, and also measure for what length straps I need.
