Has your Tacoma been keyed?

I recently bought a 2010 BSP PreRunner and my biggest concern is someone keying it. Since its black it'd be really noticeable. How many of your trucks have been keyed? and is there anything you can do about it after?

 

My truck has never been keyed, but I have'nt given anybody a reason to key it either.

 

I've never had my cars or trucks keyed in 30+ years of driving.

don't drive or park like an asshole and you shouldn't have any problems

 

I've given up on caring about it sadly. The parking spots in my complex leave about 2" inbetween cars it seems like so lots of scratches from everything. I just try to keep a good coat of wax on in hopes most stuff won't affect the paint too much when people are douches.

Yep, my duty belt got the passenger door on the drivers side... about 8" long and down to the primer

 

Ive had eggs thrown at mine. some random assholes hit 6 cars on my street one night. I have 3 spots on my rear driver side door where the egg shell chipped the paint...sucks ass but unless you know its there you wouldnt ever see it. i love my silver truck

Ive found that not pissing immature people off helps to avoid things like this. Keying peoples cars is dumb and really shouldnt happen outside of highschoolers acting like assholes and even then destruction/mutalation of personal property is uncool

edit: my truck has scratchs all over. i tried hard to avoid it but after the first few it just becomes avoiding serious damage

Other then that I park as far away from everyone as I can in parking lots. To the point where my passengers look at me and go "Really, dude?" I say get over it a little walk won't kill you. lol

 

haha yea most do. But, I have seen some tacos taking up 2 spaces which can REALLY piss people off. At the local wal-mart there was a mustang parked in the back of the lot taking up 3 or 4 spaces and when the dude came out after his shift someone had keyed his car. Just saying

 

IMO the dude keying a car in the back of a parking lot taking up more then one space or not, is certainly just going out of his way to be a dick. Unless the lot is full there is no reason for this.

Car keyers should be hung by their nuts over a fire pit... No excuses for this.

 

I've had every single body panel of my truck keyed...my lesson to you is, dont park anywhere near Santa Clara University
