For me, I enjoy supporting and uplifting people even those whom I believe to be lost. Being that we are all part of the collective consciousness (or One Mind) I find supporting all is helpful to me (and all). An uphill spiral of sorts. It maintains a healthy perspective for me while loving everyone.

You value collectivism and I value individualism. They are very different belief systems. One of the greatest things we can do is teach people to be self reliant, not that the collective should provide for their needs

I don’t know collectivism or individualism, so I can’t confirm or deny. :) When we label people, we negate them. But I digress....

I am a teacher or sorts of self reliance. I even produced a speaker series including Wayne Dyer (RIP) who is thought to be a premier teacher of self reliance writing many books on the subject.

Individualism is necessary and those with broader shoulders should carry more weight.

There are many names for collectivism and none of them good. I genuinely enjoy helping people but that’s my choice to do so. Nobody should be forced to do something or give something without consent but collectivism says otherwise.
I would suggest some reading on societies that embraced the collective

OK, with that, then I’m not into collectivism. Would be fun to read up on it.

Good thoughts, it’s like our government forcing the use of coal for power plants. We don’t want too, yet the gov is forcing on us through coal company subsidies. However, there are things that need to be forced. Such as traffic laws for instance, or something more weighty like human slavery. Individualism shouldn’t impead others individualism.

I made a principle mod to my loan earlier today. When it clears, I'll owe a little over $7500 on my truck. It should be paid off by Halloween.

To get back on topic and steer us from dangerous waters, I generally only get a few hundred dollars back. I don't want to get a huge refund and not have that money throughout the year, but I also loathe paying when I file.

Even when it's the approximate $11 I usually end up owing NYS.

I'll probably put half towards principal on the truck and half towards principal on the house.

I used a sperm donor, so don’t let being sterile prevent you. I instilled self reliance in my children so not much to worry about, I raised them they could support me! :)
