I just canceled my reservation. I promised my niece I'd do something with her that weekend for her birthday. Was supposed to be a camping trip, but now???

On a side note, anyone have their windshield crack on the inside? I can't feel the crack on the inside or outside, and it isn't visible from outside the truck. We had a pretty wicked temperature swing on Saturday when it happened.

Haha, good, you saved me from putting my unique negative spin on that situation: some hot, drunk college girl with a thing for old(er) men jumps my bone and I'm too morally weak and hard up to say no, the condom breaks, she gets knocked up and here I am with a kid at 50, not only breaking my vow to not reproduce and contribute to overpopulation, but also now stuck with child support payments and no money for truck mods.

Plan on losing stuff if you ship it in that thin plastic box. Trust me I’ve worked for UPS for 31 years. FedEx is no better when it comes to irreg packages.

 

It's actually a pretty heavy duty plastic box, but what you're saying is I should have them put it in a cardboard box, strap it fore and aft and side to side? I'm not above drilling some holes and zip tying (or even safety wiring) the lid on. Only thing I'm worried about is that it's too heavy and might incur some sort of 100+ LB surcharge and if that's the case, would it be cheaper to pay the surcharge or ship it in two different boxes. The front diff is just an empty aluminum housing and is pretty light so it could probably handle being shipped in a cardboard box, but I've seen what a cardboard box looks like after a fully assembled third is shipped it it. It wasn't pretty.

As a 31 year UPS vet, (serious question, not being a smart ass) how would you recommend packaging them?

 

22-24 Mar? Taking the Family to Dinner Island. Simple Primitive camping. Has a compost toilet. But you must bring water in. Nothing much else. Tents best at the Hammock grounds. Dinner Island WMA; free reservations too.
