Not trying to have you start from scratch again, but as a M/T guy I wouldn’t mind if the fob had be a bit thicker to incorporate the flip key. It would still be better (and shorter) than the Toyota key. I know what you come up with be amazing.

As an SR5 guy, I agree.
I hang my keys off my wallet chain so having a flip key that may be a bit thicker than the OEM fob would work for me.

Edit** Also... Thanks Meso for your awesome innovation! ;)

I'm not sure how bulky we're taking about here, but I wouldn't be opposed to a thicker key that has some flip or OTF function if it is much shorter than stock. That way it would feel like it takes up less real-estate in the pocket, even though the actual volume would not change much.

You WILL have to get a key cut. But there's nothing special about that.. any local locksmith should be able to do it for a few bucks

This is awesome, I absolutely don't mind getting a key cut. I seriously have not disliked one single product you have come up with!

As another MT owner I am also on board with these guys! I’m still in with your original design too though. They’re looking primo!

Following this, my OEM key is beat up, and I like where this is going for us "H" key holders!

If this goes well, how about one for the 4Runner too?

These have to be programmed also. They have a security chip inside them, if I’m not mistaken. Just for clarification on getting the correct keys.

Pretty sure the “guts” of the factory key go inside the Meso housing. No re-programming if I’m following correctly.

Correct. The manual and SR5 guys will have to remove the transponder(the thing he’s referring to being programmed) which is a small black box in the old fob. Remove and install into the new fob. The KEY itself is just metal. No programming necessary.

I have some cool new concepts and designs.. but I’m afraid to post them because it seems like I’ve been copied lately (other designs)

I’m pretty sure I’ll buy whatever the hell you design and release. I’m fine with a surprise. Keep it tight-lipped if need be!

Makes sense. I saw a new orange fob released which looks just as terrible as the rest of theirs. Hoping you could do something with the safety orange as previously mentioned.

Another idea instead of a pocket clip you could do a belt clip so that it sits horizontal on a belt with the buttons facing out?
