I'm installing my prinsu rack on my leer topper with Thule tracks. Do these tracks look like they were installed backwards?

You need to see what the Thule mounts actually look like and how they attach to make that judgement.

OR, is the Prinsu rack specifically made for the Thule tracks???

    At least I think so.

I helped @Loudog504 install it. We figured out that the rails were on backwards from the factory. All is well now. Now to wait for prinsu to send the correct wind deflector for the light bar. They sent the wrong one.

Yea we were only second guessing it because they were installed like that from leer.

totally warranted. there has been lots of difference from the leer factory recently. different spacing between tracks (narrower or wider), installed backwards or missing a few bolts

Yup they were installed backwards. @SgtPuddin and I removed them, flipped them around, drilled new holes and reset them with new silicone...what a chore lol. The "easy" part because all you had to do was slide into the rails was the hardest part.

Not the biggest deal but annoying when you pay as much as you do for these caps...

How much of a pain is it to install onto the Thule tracks (once they are the right way)?

Also, where did you get the rack? Any chance they had good price and/or free shipping?

If they are on correct it's super easy lol. Just slide the nuts on the tracks lift the rack to the right position and screw them into the nuts in the track.

I got my set up from blueline expedition outfitters. Great guy to deal with and got the racks within a week. Pricing was cheaper than prinsu direct. But I had some special pricing from an old offer that they sort of honored. Small upcharge for pricing increase.

They may be able to work a deal if you were looking though.

How much weight can the Prinsu + Leer take up top? Is your camper one with a reinforced roof?

It’s funny you asked that because we were trying to figure that out as well. If I had to guess, the rack can probably support more than the topper.

Looking at the leer specs, I would probably shy away from pop-up tent on the camper + prinsu. Use the cab for the pop-up. Use the shell for gear.

Breaking a 2 thousand dollar shell with a thousand dollar rack and thousand dollar RTT would be a helluva first world problem hahah

You have any contact info for blue line? Can’t find it on their website. Want to know if they offer a mil discount

I'm thinking about a similar setup on top of my truck but with a RTT, have the snugtop shell, Prinsu cab rack but not the top rack yet. Looking at weight limits though I'm second guessing/thinking if I do put the tent up there, I need to connect it to my cab as well to be safe. I have a roofnest hardshell tent that weighs 120 lbs, but with myself, my wife, and dog in there we're pushing 500!
