I would never drive a car, let alone buy a car, with a snorkel on it.

Same in the Northwest that I can tell, my dealers have them sitting with no action and no markup. They usually FLY out of the dealers around here.

As mentioned, the 2020 models are hurting the sales more than the snorkel.

I know it sounds silly but I feel like Toyota said fuck you to the previous 3rd gen owners, they knew their shortcomings but ignored it until the ranger was released. I don't really care for the new features (well I want the led headlights) just upset itll probably hurt my resell value when the time comes but oh well

Not an expert but I doubt it'll hurt resale pricing in the future.

I think it can a little since a power Seats and apple car play/android auto are a big draw to a lot of people. I'm sure it won't be substantial, guess I should just say thank you to jesus they didnt put the 4.0 back in lol

    I think it's marketed for desert/dusty conditions isn't it?

It's marketed for the overlanding/glamping people since that's the current fad

Nothing to do with snorkels, but I can't let an Oneonta reference pass. Dad and his family are from there. They have a place on Goodyear Lake.

Even in those conditions, I'd like to hear someone tell us how practical it would be.

It's not, just a marketing gimmick for posers to give them instant rep. Kinda like all the mall crawling jeeps, saw a moab edition and I would bet my life savings the girl driving doesn't know what moab is let alone where it is

Its because the 'snorkel' or 'desert intake' they designed looks awful...like a giant leech attached to the truck. A standard snorkel wouldve looked much better, like any of the aftermarket options that are available. But TRD dropped the ball on theirs

I'm in the desert southwest and my local dealer has had a blue snorkled pro on the lot for over a month. Even has it up in the air on a display. I haven't even bothered to stop and look at the price. I'm driving my OR until it or me goes belly up.

So far into this year the Tacoma has continued selling record numbers, I thought the 19s might not do well due to the upcoming 2020s but they seem to be chugging along just fine.

Of the two dealerships in Albuquerque, there are a total of 120 Tacoma’s sitting on the lots, four of which are Pros... three without desert intake and one with, none are selling right now (few of any trim variants are moving). I’m thinking most folks who research before buying are holding out for the 2020 refresh since it’s been announced, as they add some of the most wants features (finally).
