Wish I never sold my 2002 Prerunner
I have had a bit of history with Tacomas. I owned a First Gen (2002) prerunner a few years back that I loved to death. (I still kick myself for selling it.)

    Untitled-3.jpg

Anywho, I am the fleet manager at a roofing and construction company in Arizona, we have had a fleet of First Gen Tundras for the last 15years or so, most of them have already exceeded, or will soon exceed 300k miles.

This is where my job just got real fun! I decided to swap over some of our more light duty superintendents to Tacomas instead of Tundras. Two weeks ago I was greenlit to purchase four matching 2019 Tacomas for the fleet. In the process of getting the trucks setup for our company I get to drive one around and I am in love with Tacos all over again.

I'm excited to get my personal vehicle swapped over to a Tacoma in the coming months. . . assuming I find the right one!
    :fingerscrossed:

Nice! I see a bunch of storm troopers ready for field action, since you are the fleet manager I can assume your taco is black for Vader? Kidding!

    Like, so many.
Do you go though a regular dealer when you buy fleet or how does that work? What do you do with your old trucks?

Bahaha, I didn't even think of that, not a bad idea... though not a huge fan of black cars in Arizona. :bananadead:

Maybe a nice Dark Gray will suffice?

I went to a couple of dealers in person first to see which ones would treat me right. I would introduce myself as a fleet manager and that I would like to buy multiple trucks and I want to talk to their fleet specialist. The dealerships that just handed me off to a regular salesman because they are a "One price shop, no negotiations" were written off.

Ended up going with Right Toyota in Scottsdale as their fleet guy got back to me the quickest and was the easiest to work with. I showed him an invoice price I got from another dealership and told him to beat it. Ended up getting these 4 Tacos within a couple hundred bucks of $29,000 each out the door with tag/title/docfee. They are the base SR model, but the V6 version with tow packages and the SX package which blacks out the rims, door handles, etc.

I have 3 Tundras that I'm gonna be selling in the next week. One of the Tundras that was going to be replaced bit the bullet at the bottom of a ravine a few weeks back. (RIP) First I will offer them to current employees / sub-contractors. If no one bites, then I will just list on Craigslist.
