Did you go grab a set of A50’s this morning? Got to admit it was hard to stomach the price but I really love them. I’ll never go back to a wired headset again.

 

I’ll be on Thursday morning when I get home from work.

 

What kind of rod did you get?

 

Looking like for me I’m going to get a better deal on a rod/reel combo than buying the reel separate. I’ll just see what they have in stock when I get down there, seen too many nightmares with packaging off Amazon.

 

No I got whatever Target had .apparently my Xbox brand ones were $90. These other ones have the feature which pipes in ambient noise which is nice . My Xbox ones are more comfortable though

 

I bought a 7ft medium power, extra fast action rod. It's from "favorite rods" and it's the lunkers defender series.

Going to use it for drop shots and ned rigs. Maybe throw some other stuff with it. We will see in a few months when the lakes and the seasons actually open up.

 

The A50’s have been the most comfortable for me. The ear pads are replaceable and really soft. They don’t make you sweat like the vinyl type ear pads. Plus they have the Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound. You can hear people walking up behind you and know which side they are on. Works pretty good in Division. Lol

 

I sold fishing gear for a few years and I ALWAYS recommended buying your rod and reel separate. This way you get both parts you really like. You might pay a bit more...but 99 times out of 100 you will be much happier with the results. I always suggest the pfluger president. Best reel for under $100 in my opinion.

Oh you can also isolate your voice with them and cut out all the ambient noise in the room you’re in. Only thing I added to them was a foam mic cover. Has a custom EQ you can set with the computer and save it to the controller. They’re pretty neat.
