Morning all. As a union rep, we have a meeting today with University President and other admins. They are giving a presentation explaining their plan to use 50 percent of our reserve monies. This ought to be good....

I feel there is much at stake in this situation. We have a new Chancellor leading the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Ed (PASSHE). There have been several studies done to make the system (14 universities) 'sustainable' for the future. My university is in the middle of the pack in terms of financial stability, enrollment, and graduation numbers... etc. New Chancellor wants to implement changes to the system and individual campuses. Changes have not been introduced yet. I feel Prez of our university wants to use reserve monies before the State dumps us, taking reserves, and we become private. Hoping not, but there is a reason and I do not trust them. Could be a long meeting.

got to have a little fun at work. everyone that runs a trimmer has a homemade T-handle to bump the knives. we make our own. this one real crabby grump dropped his and it got sucked up shavings shut. he actually called machinist to make him one!! so they made this with a magnet , and about 1lb handle that wont go up the shut.mine is there to see the size we use. HE WENT OFF!! of course about 6 of us were watching. his face. was red mad
