That was before Toyota's TSB last summer that put 1.05 way behind schedule trying to incorporate the changes correctly. Now that 1.05 is "finished" there is progress being made on the turbo package. My hope is by mid Summer.... Or soon, whichever comes first

A couple of weeks ago he mentioned retrofitting tundra intake manifold. Theres probably no point (consumer cost and his time) to increase air flow to a stock engine so I assume it’s for the turbo kit.

Retrofitting an intake manifold from a V8 engine to a V6 engine? That sounds like an awful lot of work for what it's worth. Did you mean the throttle body?

GM did it with a whole engine back in the late seventies. 3.8L odd fire V-6 was originally a V-8. POS!

not tundra manifold, Sienna manifold. it fits, and works well, and makes boost tube routing much easier. It's on the truck right now.

I was wondering when you were going to do that. The manifold also comes on the Highlander and RX350.

How does it change the power output on a naturally aspirated Tacoma engine?

That's exactly the opposite of what this 3.5L needs.

Still needs more low end torque even with a turbo. You’d want to start out with as much torque as possible regardless.

I believe there is an electric pickup crawler out there. It doesn't have much range though. I'm sure with Teslas tech it could be improved.

I bet you could lay down some monstrous burnouts with all that torque.

It'll be great for 5 trail miles, but thankfully tesla will have built out their forest service road charger stations by then!
