No polls. Little pre-planning. Just get outside and invite some (internet) friends.

    Who?
Your fellow TW or other off-road enthusiasts.

    What?
Trail riding, hiking, camping, fishing, etc.

    When?
    Whenever you want to go!

    Where?
    Anywhere in GA (or nearby)!

    Why?
Because we live close enough to make weekend trips to public outdoor land.

    Why else?
Because not everyone can go on the same weekend.

Ok, so I was talking to @backcountryj around the upcoming (or technically on-going at the time of this post) https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/georgia-tw-march-1st-3rd-2019-camping-trip.582471/. As is typical with this sort of meet, a ton of people say they are "in" and several back out at the last minute. It's just the way it goes with internet organized off-road meetups.

Anyway, the lightbulb went off (or did it turn on?) and we had an idea. Why not have a thread dedicated to outings that take place the upcoming weekend? The idea is that anyone can join.

So, if you're heading out to do something this weekend and don't mind if people join you, post it here.

    - OR -

If you have a free day this weekend and want to do something, you can check here to see if anyone else is doing something.

Special thanks to @Built2Ride for setting us up with a calendar. Please add your own events and keep it respectful.

    I did some stuff.
Me and a buddy are planning a trip to Gulches ORV next weekend the 15th-17th. We will be camping in the park on one of the river side campsites. Camping spots have to be reserved in advance. Anyone interested in going?

That looks like it will be fun. The pics on Google only have 3 toyotas that I saw.

I'm thinking about heading up to the area around Helen that same weekend to hike to a couple of the falls with the family....well, maybe not. Need to find out if the trail is open. According to alltrails.com, it might be closed due to a broken bridge.

    https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/georgia/high-shoals-falls-trail

I do like that the note says it may be difficult for 2wd vehicles to get to the trailhead.

Not exactly getting outdoors, but fits within the purpose of this thread.

My trip this weekend has been cancelled due to a sick kiddo. I may decide to try the ECGS bushing if anyone would like to join.

Anyone else available for April 13th weekend? Either going to go to Yota Mafia at the infield of Atlanta Motor Speedway and camp or going to go to the Smokey Mountain Overland event

    https://www.smorally.com/

    https://atlanta-takeover.com/

The Smorally seems more my speed and desire with more like minded people.

My preference would be the rally event as well. Due to proximity and kids I’ll be looking at attending the concrete bro-feast between those two.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am down for one of these. I’ll bring the sandwiches and ice cream.
Which one is going to be a better event?
