    What's up gents!

Let's do some truck talk.. I've been researching this thread lately and plan on doing this in the next few weeks once my fenders come off:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/different-approach-to-a-snorkel.266449/
    image.jpg

Which brings me to my next thing. I'm wondering if I can somehow fab up some style of snorkel that goes straight out the top of the cowl, along the windshield line and have a sleek looking filter head on it.. I am not a fan at all of the look of snorkels, but really do want the advantage of the much cleaner air/added mpg's possibly without Nolan Ryan's pitching arm hanging off the side of my ride

I like this Heep style, but havent looked at the way our hoods open yet.. Second one is when Meso was building his, I like that curved in inlet over a little lantern sticking up...

    No dorky snarky luv :pout:

Real talk though that’s a tall order to fill, I like your idea maybe start with some cardboard or spare pvc to get a guesstimate of the inlet pipe routing. Figure the diameter which is most appealing to you an maybe have a custom built unit.
I’ve seen a few truck with the fenders trimmed around the snorkel that look fairly clean.

    Really?!
And Mike is in for the win today for me to spend more moneeeey :smash:
It takes the right truck, mine just doesnt have it.. You got the offroad look, it's fitting. Mine has nice smooth lines, and soon some wide front curves. .it needs some stretchy pants

I have that pic saved, and also the iraki khaki one on the battleship with the glass as well. My main thing is I dont want the bulge sticking off the side. I like my bulge nice and centered

I appreciate that Kenny :fistbump:mine has the pos look honestly. But your right your truck has curves like a voluptuous model. I wouldn’t desecrate a rig like yours with a raised air intake.

Read through that entire thread. Hard core wheelers take on water from the cabin air filter area also I don't think you will have a problem though.

The point of the snorkel idea would solely be on making it look better than the ones off the shelf. I am by no means a hardcore offroader at all, hell I wouldn't even consider myself an offroader  But regardless, when those liners come off, I'm not leaving the oem spot open like that. I'm pretty set on the firat part, just got to do some thinking on the second. .

You guys know where I could get a 4x12" piece of aluminum? Everything I have found online is basically an overpriced polished intake tube

And @MattCowsmasher your truck is sexy and you know it. BR is fine like red wine, without the taste
