My diesel heater was broken upon arrival from Amazon. It was promptly returned/refunded requested.Took a month of fighting with the retailer (not amazon to get the money back, I gave up and brought it to my credit card company, money refunded instantly. All that being said I liked everything I saw, and I am 99% sure i could retrofit one into a computer case and make it work.

Now that being said, let the heater conversation continue. Now that I no longer need it as we are not in a deep freeze where i am, I will be actively looking at different options over the summer for fall/winter.

Has anyone found a bungee cargo net that is about the right size to fit under the mattress panel? Looking around, I may end up just weaving my own but if I can buy one and make it fit it is a heck of a lot easier.

Also along that same note, is there any issue structurally with the mattress panel drilling into and installing multiple rivets, or may an l track?

Looking to get some gear, pillows, jackets extra blankets, etc u off the bed of the trucking away from the dirty floor.

I use this guy to stretch between the rear wiring channel and the pull ring on the bed platform extension to help keep the tent from drooping down into the bed.
Not sure if it would stretch as big as you're talking, but I could check later.

    Thanks for the tag Nicole!

I’m running an HS2211 and absolutely love it! It makes me want to do more cold camping because of how nice it makes the whole interior feel.

I mounted mine under the truck where the spare tire used to live and routed the lines up through a cubby.

Here’s a bad photo of when my truck got caked in mud.

I went with it for the same reason of having a single fuel source. I’m going to fill the tank to see how much propane I used during our two night trip.

I ran a Propex HS2000 in my old Drifter set up and I am a HUGE fan. I loved it so much that I bought a new one for my new camper (new truck too).

If you search Propex on here you should be able to pull up some pics of my install - but Iggy's looks much cleaner than mine did.

This one won't reach corner to corner under the extension, but it would fit pretty well if you did two of them under there...

Haha one day. Almost considered it when I sold the Flippac but long travel is taking priority.

Unless Phil wants to trade LT and cash for one haha!

Under the extension? Just to be clear, I'm not using it that way.
But yeah, I can try to mock it up like that well enough to get a pic or two tomorrow, hopefully.

Yeah, I know, I don't spend a lot of quality time here...... just don't have the time.

Sure. Or however you are using it. I’m always interested to see what others are doing for storage and little convenience mods in the campers

I noticed that your bump stops are hitting the frame on a straight even road. I do not think this is normal unless overloaded?

I definitely want to install a Propex HS2211 in the future.

It’s alright man. I’m actually referencing a Douglas Adams book where 42 is the answer to the Universe, Life and everything...

This is the first install I have seen under the truck. Genius! Do you have any more photos you could share? Especially how the lines exit the cubby?

I’ll be doing a you tube video soon about it.

It’s all part of the Vagabond R&D we also have an HS2000 to play around with if you don’t have a cabinet system.
