Confirmation the TRD OR is not prewired for turn signal mirrors?

Hello All,

I found a pair of OEM Tacoma White Side Mirrors with Turn Signals. I just installed them on my 2015 OffRoad Pyrite Mica. The Turn Signals and Mirror functions WORK!! Im super excited. The mirrors only cost me 100 and they were brand new. Im ordering the correct Pyrite Mica covers now $64 for both. Ill post pictures tonight when its a little darker out.

I know people have had mixed results, but i can confirm they do work for me. Plug and Play, nothing special done.

15 minute install, very easy.

Only 2015 Offroads are prewired for turn signal lights. '12-'14 OR's are not prewired for turn signals.

 

Where did you find the mirrors ?

 

Craigslist in Virginia. Had the guy ship them to me in NJ.

Do you know what other "options" are prewired? Heated seats, just need new seats and switches?(doubt it)

 

Can't say for sure, but I doubt its wired for heated power seats. I imagine the Limited is the only truck that has that option

 

How about rearview mirror (if so which one, compass, temp, homelink )? Sorry to be asking you directly, but you knew about the side mirrors. Just picking your brain directly.

 

Hey Do you mind if you can take a picture of the wiring and plug? What color wires are the blinkers coming off the mirror and what color wires do the plug into? Thanks

 

My ‘15 SR5 took the Bob’s Gentex perfectly. Just needed to install the thermometer and run the two small gauge wires through the firewall, up the A pillar and under the headliner.

Easy.

Highly recommend.

Got the temp, compass and homelink in one mod.

Just pull your overhead console to see if the connector is there- I’d be surprised if it wasn’t.

The wiring is behind the door panel. Cant get to it without taking the door panel off.
