They fixed it...discount had one to many 2's in it lol. Glad i checked before I called this morning to put my deposit down

Doing larger bits so not an option. 5/8" up to 2". Just a fun side thing. I do want the black and decker one for smaller bits instead of always just buying new ones (since they are so cheap!). I would love a Lisle 91000 but definitely not at the price they sell for these days

Anything 5/8 or bigger I do put a new point on and use a bench grinder unfortunately. Im sure a guy could make a 3 axis jig to get the correct angles and speed up the process. I have never looked into it though, my issue I can never get both sides to produce curly q's.
One side will get em maybe 1.5 curls long the other side 3 inch range. Using some cutting oil/ gear oil while sharpening to keep it cool has worked best for me, on the big flat side of the stone too.

Do you mean the Bellevue store? They did my alignment, awesome work and easy to work with.

BTW it’s weird driving a car that costs less than a gun you’re carrying. Über commuter tdi project starts this weekend

yeah the Lisle 9100 has a nice setup for a jig and does up to 1-1/4" i think. But at $500+ for a used one its not worth it for me lol.

After my need for a 17.5mm bit and going the cheap route on it (i know, i know) I decided hand grinding is something I really need to improve on. A guy i work with bought an auction lot awhile ago with bunch of bigger bits he doesnt really need but they need sharpening so he is letting me play with them. Only crappy part (for me) is they are Morse taper bits so all i can do is try to sharpen and then have to go to his shop since I dont have any MT stuff to use them.

I cannot support Tru Line and that know-it-all that likes to work on yuppie cars and doesn't know shit about 4x4's. But maybe he's better now? He screwed my truck and made it veer right after he insisted and fucking with my coilovers. He stood there and argued with me that there is no such thing as taco lean right out of the factory and that it just shouldn't be like that. he had my drivers coilover cranked way the fuck down and the passenger coilover down to zero pre-load. I went back and he charged me again to try to fix it. About 500 bucks worth of failed alignments total. I don't think there is any reason to put weights in our trucks to do alignment. That shit is for beemers and track cars or whatever.

I'm happy with Renton Highlands Firestone lifetime alignment. One price and you can go back as much as you want. They do exactly what I tell them to do for alignment specs.

Maybe the rude dude with bad tude at Tru Line is better now but I can't get over the raping I received. Maybe I was the first Taco he worked on? Did he insist on making your ride height perfect on both sides? @Greddy went there and got the same lecture and he decided to bail.

    FTFY.

I was at a Lynnwood indoor shooting range in the early 1990s.
I might have been shooting a .357 magnum in 6" barrel made by Colt and dude comes up into the next lane and starts shooting .44 Desert Eagle.
Strange thing about it, shells are coming over the divider into my lane.

    WTF!?!?

I step back and he had 2-3 .44 Desert Eagles in various states of "bling" gold and chrome and the paper target about 10' down range...

Every hit was completely outside the target ring...

My buddy rented me one for my birthday about ten years ago and the guy at the counter gave me a mag with 1 round in it and two full mags. I looked at him like "wtf" and he said almost every time someone rents it the second round goes into the ceiling. I about shit my pants when i shot the first round and can definitely see how the second would have gone through the HVAC on the roof.

I forgot to include that the way the Desert Eagle was held was horizontal, not vertical therefore the shells coming over the divider...:frusty:

I've never shot a DE, but I have shot a friends .454 and it was definitely a hand cannon.

Bought it for a hiking gun, figured it’d work for two legged creatures as well as the four legged ones

Since it weighs like six pounds and is an automatic, its not as brutal as a casul or S&W 500

DE is a gas operated pistol too right?

I think I saw a video of a buxom woman shooting the 44 mag and S&W 500 side by side in slow motion. So you could see the jiggling. Because of the barrel porting on the 500 it seemed to kick less/less jiggling. If I remembered that right... I could be wrong. Never tried a 500 but shoot 44 mag.
