    A ring of light?

I mean, you can try retrofitting one from a different vehicle. But I don’t think a cigarette lighter LED ring exists for these trucks.

Just adding some LED’s focused at the plugs is a better and easier option.

I would think it would be pretty easy to buy like a dozen lighters from other cars at the junkyard and retrofit.

Yeah that’s probably the easiest way. Just have to figure out what vehicles would have it.

If you've done the "hot all the time" mod for the 12v plugs, I would just make sure you use a circuit that's still tied to the ignition.

My '17 4Runner has a dim light in the ceiling console that just barely illuminates the lower part of the center dash (4wd knob, 12v plugs, usb, etc...).

Might be neat to retrofit something like that and run off the map light power, too.

I saw that too in my 2012 4Runner. What is that for (besides distracting the driver)?

It's so you can see the 4wd knob and other stuff down there without having to turn on a bright light and ruin your night vision.

I barely even notice it unless I put my hand right up against the light. I had owned the truck for several weeks before I even consciously noticed it.

yeah no need for a lite up lighter. the tacoma's have 3 already. no point to a light there unless you smoke in the truck at night! now the ignition light ring is a different story

I pulled these junked seats out of this smoker owned Tacoma so I could use the seat rails for my Lexus seats and it made my entire garage smell taking it apart. Even the rails smelled.

Didn’t help that the guy also owned a dog evident by all the dog... residue.

Ah I see. I have J-shifter so for me it is useless indeed. And that LED is always on, not only when lights are on. Oh, well. I can always stick a piece of chewing gum up there

I guess not. Maybe if taco came with a light just for cig like ashtray light. See picture. Excessive I know, but looks cool. Kinda like the idea behind ignition ring light on some cars. I think toyota celica.

Go find a Toyota Celica and take the ring. Shouldnt be be that hard to retrofit.
