First off yes i checked the fuses.

So i have been driving my truck with no lights behind the gauges for a few months. Everything else worked, all the warning lights worked so did the blinkers and tail lights. Just the lights to light up the gauges didnt. I figured it was just bulbs so last weekend i was changing out the radio for one with bluetooth and i decided to change the bulbs behind the gauges too. I put new bulbs in and they still didnt come on. Determined it was a ground problem by running a wire from one side of the bulb contact to the frame and they light right up. Go for a more permanent solution and now nothing on the cluster lights up except the rr diff lock light. Undo my ground jumper and it still doesnt work. Checked fuses and somehow i popped one. Change it and all the warning lights on the dash light up but now i still have no lights behind the gauges, no blinkers, and no tail lights. Brake lights work and so do headlights.

I checked fuses again and they are all good. Funny how the diff lock light came on when i did pop a fuse, i dont even have a way to lock the diff on my truck. I also dont know how i popped a fuse just grounding the lights. I know a lot of people have had trouble with these lights but so far nothing ive tried has fixed it so any help would be appreciated.

if it helps its an 03 v6 4x4 5 speed manual. It has the cluster with the white gauges in it.

Check your dimmer/rheostat grounds the green one and the green one with the yellow stripe on it. Tap into one and ground it to something bare metal and if the light up you have a ground problem in that circuit. Also check your low beam headlight fuses these can cause it to. Check your parking lights they are all connected into this circuit.

Some updates. I checked all the fuses again and it had popped the same one it had before which is the tail light one which explained why I had lost my tail lights. I then watched as the new one i just put in popped for a third time. I also still have no blinkers. I checked the blinker relay on the back of the fuse panel and it isnt getting any power.

So now im back to having tail lights and no dash lights and also now no blinkers. If i ground the cluster which turns on the dash lights it then pops the fuse after a few seconds and i loose tail lights and dash lights. that means somehow grounding the cluster is causing a short, i checked the bulb contacts on the dash lights and both sides where positive. Im not sure its supposed to be like that but i dont get why my blinkers all of a sudden dont work they are part of a completely separate circuit.
