But you're taking out the lift? I'm not sure your plan is gonna work out.

Does not compute that size tire with no lift...

This is why I come to y’all because I have no idea what I’m doing 95% of the time. :anonymous:

The plan is to eventually get some 5100’s in there, not sure if 275’s can squeeze in with those. Should I just replace my UCA’s instead, or go through with taking out the lift?

I’ll be doing struts and coils on Outback this weekend. It’s rocky as a canoe these days, thanks to 149k miles on the original suspension. Replacing like for like with oem, cost around $775 in parts.

The action will include compressing of all four using a cheap compressor. Might even involve decompressing old ones, if I need something from those assemblies, not completely sure yet.

The manifold swap went smoothly last week. The walker one is pretty shitty compared to the oem, but at $350 vs $800, it’ll do.

I'm no fan of spacer lifts, but it should work if you're mostly on pavement. I'd be more concerned with the spacers in the front than the blocks in the back. Getting aftermarket UCA's should help your alignment issues. The 5100's are still a good idea for the future. You'll be ok with the 275's if you have the 5100's with lift springs or stock springs with the shock clip set at one the lift positions.

I would if I had money burning a hole in my pocket, but my salary won’t allow it.

I’m not a fan of this lift either, but I’m pretty much stuck with it. Should I just eat the (small) cost of my tires getting additional wear until I can get some 5100’s in there?

You'll still want the aftermarket UCA"s to fix the alignment issues regardless of whether you have spacer or suspension lift. Either that or try taking it to another alignment shop and see if someone else can do better than the last guy.

I agree with the spacers but the ones I put on my girlfriends 4 Runner didnt do bad. She will get my coilovers when I get rid of them

Isn’t there a set of used 5100’s in the classifieds?

Pick those up cheap, remove the spacers, and save your money for kings.

Skip buying new tires or rubbing.
