    2000 Tacoma 2.4 Single Cab Step-Side
    I am looking for a camper shell for my 2000 Tacoma Single Cab Stepside and have had trouble finding anything. I saw pictures of others on here that have had good luck finding the shells. Where would the best place be for me to get a shell? Color does not matter and I will buy used. I am looking to spend under $500.

    Been looking for one forever. Guy like 5 hrs away from me has one for $500 but it doesn’t look like it’s good condition. A real bitch to find them.

    I’m about to purchase an 02 tacoma step side, extended cab, it’s a v6, from my research it seems like an s-runner. Anyone know if s-runners come in step sides? I know they are v6’s for sure. Just can’t tell because there are no emblems.6E6E5482-5963-4F3D-9799-F58FAFE0FDC6.jpg

    In San Diego, I’ve seen so many RC/ extra cab & TRD stepside versions and 5 lug but never on an S-Runner.

    I did research a bit and they all seem to be 5 lug (the s-runners I’ve seen), but it’s hard to tell, maybe I’ll try running the vin on it.

    And that’s awesome @cruxofthebisquit I’ll check out that thread!

    OME and worth every penny.
    Yes S Runners are ALL 5 lug. Also ALL stick shift and V6 powered. Different wheel/tire tire combo, bigger sway bars and better tuned shocks for street.

    That's the things to look for. I don't remember if they were lower or just looked it.

    edit: Just the tires made it seem lowered. i read the bulletin. Buy it sure doesn't seem to me the 3.4 has a 'power surge' at 4000 rpm like they tested. Engines the same. Probably the gearing and tire combo....mines out of wind at 4K.

    Hey guys! I've read threw some of your posts. I have a 2001 Tacoma with a stepside and a shell. Kicker, I hate it!!! Honestly a flatbed would be more useful for me. (Farm life)

    But, I haven't seemed to find anyone interested. Til now! I'm in Oregon...

    My 2003 prerunner step aside. I bought it in 2012 with 57,000 on her. I didn't even know that they produced a stepwise 1st gen until I found this one. In all these years I've only spotted 4 or 5 others. I'll post better pics as soon as I'm able to. 20190405_080113.jpg
