To answer your question...these motors have been tested in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. I plan on having an installation guide made up and in it will include some facts like this from the manufacturer. Also, to go along with this topic of motor and potential harm that could be in question by some. If someone were to grab onto your mirror and move it, would it break or harm your motor? No. The motor would not be harmed in any way. Once the Mirror was re-connected to Power, ignition of truck was turned on, the mirror would automatically correct itself right away.

Thanks for this info! I was curious if it could move manually if it needed to.

By the way, how much force is needed to move the mirror by hand or in my case tree? Is it about the same force to move the stock mirror? The reason I ask, when I was wheeling a few weeks back I accidentally slide into a very large rut and my mirror hit a tree. The only thing that saved the mirror was that it folded in fairly easily. It barely even had a scratch on it after.

It’s the same I think. I just moved one of mine to see and it actually seems easier. I don’t know. Sometimes moving my OEM Mirrors with the Springs was difficult and took a lot of force. I think you’ll be more than fine here. The great thing, you aren’t cutting, so if you don’t like it, sell it to the next that wants the folding mirrors and reinstall your spring ;)

Will this module convert the rear windows to automatic without changing the switches?

The switches do not need changed. However, the connectors do not match up. I am in the process of converting them. When I get it complete I will do a write for anyone that is interested.

@KTJO 4x4 Are you doing all these projects yourself?
Considering the demand, I would suspect assistance or staff under you to help out.

To my knowledge she does all the work herself. Very dedicated to her projects.

Yes sir :) I’m having great help by @Oscar I. He’s making my install instructions for me. I sent him a Kit early so that he could whip it up and have it ready prior to shipping all of these out. He’s such a great guy. I also convinced him to do the same thing for me with my power folding mirrors ;) Thank You! I could do it im sure. I just don’t have time and once you see his work. He does such a great job. I’m glad he volunteered for the PNP one and I’m glad I got him for my other one. Definitely completes the finishing touches and makes it that much more professional. Which I’m all about. All the little detail.

Glad to be of service. I appreciate the kind words. Making a polished install guide is a lot of work. Saving Katie some time so she can keep making badass kits for you guys is all I'm here for :)

Well stay tuned people if you are interested in the Automatic Rear Window One Touch Up/Down Kit. I might be able to get this sourced and be able to offer it to everyone as well with the correct connectors. :bananadance:My guys currently on it. If that’s the case, I’ll open up a new thread for that kit.

This guy kinda covers what I was thinking, if you see towards the end he is able to disable the automatic folding.
