Are those little holes by the handles for locks to go through?

 

Yea, you can use it for locking, or for tie downs. Relative to locks though, it wouldn’t take much for someone to get around that if they really wanted in; its only a plastic container at the end of the day. But it’s a deterrent for sure.

 

Reading that, and seeing what was done, I am wondering why no-one used a bead of silicone on the inside of that? I am considering doing just that.....

 

That would work, assuming you can get a consistent bead laid in the channel. I followed his write up and am pleased with the weatherstripping route so far.

 

Yeah.. I'm just trying to find a way to secure down the boxes so my stuff can't be taken by any random person who walks by. I was thinking maybe running a chain or a wire lock through the handles or something.

looks like yeti started making all weather cargo boxes. although they only come one size, i wouldnt mind getting one just to have.

 

Who makes it? Do you have a model number?

 

What specific ammo cans are those? They look to be a good fit. I have been thinking of doing this. I figure I could slide lag bolts into the bed rails and then attach the boxes from the inside with rubber washers and wingnuts.
