It's fine, every crossplay game makes it optional. Fortnite even separates mouse/keyboard and controller players even if they are on the same system like Xbox

Yeah I know they do but I don't see the point for PC users. By that I mean it makes sense for PS4 players of a game, obviously not Halo lol, to be able to play with Xbox One players but I don't understand what the attraction is for PC users to play with Console players.

Fair enough. I guess I’m just use to having friends on both and buying a console each gen lol.

I finally settled on what I want to do for my home network, I ordered a Netgear R6700 Nighthawk for $90 and picked up 500 ft of Cat 6, a Crimp kit, and ends to make cables.
I'm gonna end up doing some more wiring (Power) than I wanted but I think it will be worth it.
The router will be either on the ceiling or wall in the upstairs hallway that is open to the living room below so wireless coverage should be great in a 1200 Sq Ft house.
I'm also gonna end up putting a switch in the office because of the amount of devices, but will I see any benefit to running 2 LAN connections to the office vs just one?
I decided to bite the bullet and plan on doing some drywall work to get the cable from the attic down to the first floor so I'm also gonna run a cable from the switch back up to the upstairs room in case I want to wire in a smart TV.

I'm going to need an 8 port switch based on my list, but I was a little liberal with assembling my list, I may not connect both TV's (or either one) and I may not need the port for the wireless booster (depending on how the R6700 performs).

I installed the router temporarily in the location of the ISP router today, wired speed up is 55Mbps, down is 12 Mbps.
Wireless 5Ghz band is now available across the house with strong signal and I get 54 Mbps at the router (wireless) and 52 Mbps about 30' away.
Signal is good and above 25 Mbps in the office where before I was lucky to get 7-10 down, I still plan on running the wires but not in such a rush now.

Why the boot time is so long? Old PC had 2.5 in ssd and booted in like 15 secs.

Yes. But in bios it says boot order: 1 windows boot manager. 2: nvme ssd. If I swap them it wont boot at all.

The way Windows works you must read from the boot manager first.

It sounds to me like your computer is hanging during BIOS initialization and the actual windows boot time is normal for a PC that probably has too many start up apps. Go into the BIOS, somewhere in there is a setting to fastboot instead of doing a full systems check, change that to fastboot, and then make sure to trim down the amount of apps windows tries to open when you boot. If you have a quad core or lower processor and you have too many startup apps, especially apps that are booting from another location other than the SSD, that can really slow down the startup time.

Did you update the latest BIOS? What are the specs of your system?

I read online it is a common issue with these board. Do you have drives plugged into SATA? Since your mobo have 2 slots for m2 ssd have you tried moving it to a different slot and have the same issue?

I have the m.2 nvme in the top slot. Have a 1tb hdd on sata and have tried different plug in slots. Hdd has been formatted so no chances of it having any windows file

Edit: ah I see what you are saying. No I have not tried the nvme on the 2nd slot. Will try that. Only moved hdd around.

Edit 2: yeah 2nd m.2 slot is about 10 seconds slower.
