    Hey Keith,

I did mine on a Saturday. Pretty easy actually. The way to tell if it's the bearing is to put it in 4x4 when you hear the grumbling. It should go away. Mine was noticeable just driving down the road. I have the removal tool and a driver. You can borrow anytime.

Thanks Paul. Mine grinds just a little when turning up an incline and only after warmed up. Not just engine warm but I'm assuming the gear oil and grease from rotation.

    Good morning all

If it goes away in 4WD, it's a good bet it's the bearing. For the cost, if it were my truck, I'd try the bushing replacement before jumping into anything else. The other possibility is a wheel bearing but that should grind regardless if in 2WD or 4WD.

I found myself slowing down at the NJ express EZ Pass lanes. Realized I was dropping down to the speed limit, didn't want to document an incorrect speed at a place I know my vehicle is being monitored. I suspect everyone is doing that - slowing to the posted limit when they hit the gantry.

    Morning all...
Back seat USB ports mod complete. Easy as anything. Would have taken me 2 hours but only took 30 minutes thanks to that mechanic buddy.

I used the template for the hole to make it perfectly centered. *** USE A STEP BIT *** You can find it on the last page of the official installation guide. I'll link to it when I find it. (It's at the bottom of the post now.)

Guide the wires through the right side and used vampire clamps to get power. The guide says t-taps, but this is what I had on hand.

You can test for positive connections using a multi-meter on the top here, before you snap the cover down.

Does anyone in here know much about electronics?!

Looking to replace the subwoofer for my Sony Surround sound, because it's rattling, but can't seem to find the exact model for sale... It's a Sony SS-WP36.

Come up with a few other models, but not the exact one...

Are these things interchangeable?! One better/stronger than the other, and that is why there are different models?

This is what I have, and "need"

If it's a dedicated sub powered right off the receiver, you can get any sub you want. I run a down firing Boston Acoustic. 10" if I remember correctly.

Are all of the plugs the same even with different brands? Or should I stick with a Sony branded one because of that?

It depends on what type of system you have. If its components run directly off of a receiver, then it should be a standard type connector. If it's a "system" that has its own amp built in and the surround speakers come off of that, then it's most likely a special proprietary connection. Are there any labels noting the model number?

Quick Google search comes up with a few results on eBay. Looks like the somewoofer came as part of the Sony STR-KS360 Home Theater System. In that case, it's a system with special connectors and everything is made to be non-interchangeable. That's not to say you can't splice the wiring of a new sub into its place.
