Greetings. Does anyone know of a creative way to mount a single din radio around the Temp gauge/compass - close to the head liner? I remember back in the day, for domestic trucks you could sometime get plastic replacement consoles that you could put a CB/CD Player in.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Hmmm - that is an interesting thought.... Overhead CB that is.... I'd be interested to know as well...

I seriously doubt you could get a standard DIN radio up in most overhead areas (even large vehicles) considering the depth needed.

I remember some of the full size trucks and vans I would see in the late 1980s and 1990s would have some really janky enclosures that would mount to the liner that would hold a cb or tape player. They were varnished wood though, which would look pretty bad.

I put the din unit up there and there is plenty of room if you get creative. I also thought of remote mounting the face plate, which could also work.

    Thanks for the replies.
