Best Wash Kit

Im still doing some research, i really like the Honda 3000PSI 2.5GPM, the electrical power washer are very popular as well and thats the struggle im facing at the moment. Perhaps someone here can give us some feedback between the electric vs gas!

Pros/Cons
Electrical - Little to no maintenance. If something goes wrong since is electrical, you may need to trash it.

Gas - Maintenance is required and parts are available.

 

I know this has probably been discussed but since I'm here........

I've done the clay barring in the past. My frustration is if you accidentally drop the clay on the ground. Do that a time or two and the bar is unusable. Anyone use any of the clay towels on the market? Thoughts? Pros and cons?

 

Been shopping/evaluating power washers for a week or two and I too am torn between gas and electric. I see the gas units as more durable and one less tether to drag around, while the electric is quicker into action and quicker to stow. I worry a bit about an electric cord around all of that water even though they are probably safe since you don't read about 100's of people getting fried using them. Generally, gas units offer higher pressures and more GPM. Right now I'm leaning towards a gas unit as I see myself using it on my patio, outside furniture and such things as well as washing up the vehicles and I don't mind paying a bit more for something that works well and is dependable.

Our major tree pollen scourge is due in 3 weeks or so and I want to be ready to fend off that slimy green crap that covers everything.

Comparisons already posted are the concern for longevity of the cheaper electric washers, and lower psi (can actually be a good thing).

Even as quick and relatively quiet as my washer is, it’s still a gas engine and makes a neighborhood racket when running. Also, it’s 3100 psi so I’m pretty careful with what nozzle I use and am careful with the paint.

Washer really only does the rims/tires and *maybe* a little of the rocker panels. The rest gets a good dousing with my foam cannon. I probably pull it out every third wash for the truck, probably every second wash for the cars.

 

I have the sun joe SPX4000, it has an adjustable PSI, works for the house and truck . I like the chemical guys products plus they have 20% coupons all the time in Amazon.
