It's all good fellas, it would just be a shitty trend to see start. Yes, like all Meso mods, patience and a little luck is key.

 

It’s started already and endorsed. Meso is a great designer and it shows in the demand for his products. Yet, when supply is a limited or infrequent runs you will see this happen almost immediately.

Supply and demand. Economics 101. You have a product people want. People go out of the way to get it.


That’s why Meso is smart at what he does. I wasn’t around for the time he took pre orders on something and I guess it flopped (or so I understand, could be wrong) Everyone is asking. And asking. And asking for the next release of these lights. Everyday there is probably 5 or more posts about when these are getting released and how can I get one...


You could go get a... I dunno, let’s say Shelby cobra mustang for let’s say.. 100k. Orrrr you could buy a mustang and get it modded out the exact same way for.. 60k let’s say. Why don’t people do that over getting the Shelby? It’s the name. It’s the product. It’s the quality behind the work.


Anyways. Not trying to start more crap. I agree that if you’re sitting on a product for months and months and decide that for the time it’s easier to sell and make a quick buck then so be it. If I’m or they’re willing to pay then who cares. In the end it’s the person money to spend.


Honestly. I’d probably pay close to double for a kit like this, to have today. But that’s just me. I’m by no means rich, just know what I want and a quality product when I see it.

 

Like @Cav_BluTRD stated........it all boils down this. Market dictates pricing. An item is worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay for it. For anyone who collects vinyl records like I do, you know this pain very well. So if someone is willing to spend $600 secondhand to get a tail light kit versus waiting for another batch to drop then so be it. It doesn't effect me directly at all. I'll still be that dude waiting with my apple pay ready on drop days hoping to score what I want from Stew.

 

I have zero issues with what people spend their money on, if you want to pay a 50% markup on a product, I couldn’t care less.

It’s the buying for the sole purpose of flipping for a profit that I think is a dick move.

But I get it...free world, economics, snowflakes, et cetera.

 

I see it often on a watch forum I am also a member of... those people are some of the worst offenders of purchasing based on a predicted rise in profit margin due to manufactured scarcity. The ones that purchase with no intent to actually wear/use the watch and may or may not even like the watch for their own collection. They simply want to profit from known scarcity of a good.

 

It’s only a matter of time before someone starts up a Meso Cartel to start strong arming people. Lol

 

This is exactly what happens with concert tickets these days. There are massive software attacks, paid shills, etc. All designed to become the "Middle Man" to your transaction. I used to use a testing sofware where you could create the pattern from one successful process to replicate multiples with variables. I don't imagine it would be that difficult to use this for nefarious reasons and literally wipe out any available MESO stock. But you're right - Dick Move. I would also assume Stew wouldn't tolerate the shenanigans of that scale. One/Two... hey, you got me...free economy.
