Anyone have any experience with cryo treated rotors? Are they worth the extra money. I’m thinking about going with the stoptech cryo rotors.

I have a small fortune invested in audio/video. At one time I could claim I had more money invested in audio/video than in vehicles. I have since upgraded my vehicles. A few years back cryogenic treated speaker wires (etc) was the latest highend thing. I resisted the impulse to buy cryogenically treated audio equipment.

I have these exact rotors. Installed a couple months ago. So far I'm very happy with them. Very smooth and no squeaking. Don't notice a huge difference in stopping power but I have no complaints at all.

If you plan on using the truck as a daily, I'd recommend saving some coin and go with the regular stoptech non cryo treated versions. I personally like the slotted rotors over cross drilled.
I have ran both the cryo and non cryo type rotors on various cars. Eagle Talon Tsi, Jetta Vr6, Corolla-Matrix S, and unless you are going to be racing, or heavy duty towing the regular Stoptech offerings will be an upgrade over OEM.

Stock sized brake rotors do not increase stopping power, per say, that is the job of the brake pad friction material. Actual performance stock sized brake rotors (there are very few) increase thermal capacity and cooling to better resist brake fade. If you are not pushing the bounds of brake fade, you won’t notice much if any difference.
