I'm on the hunt for a new bumper for my 2013 Taco and came across this image on the @SCSPerformance page but haven't stumbled across this bumper anywhere in my research. Anyone know what it might be?

Also, anyone also happen to know where you can get those lights?

    Thanks!

Have you asked @SCSPerformance or @scs_vuth? Probably custom. Any fabricator with half a brain and 1 good eye could knock that design out. Get ready to cut out your cross member tho

I tagged @SCSPerformance hoping they'd chime in if they have a moment and know what it is but didn't want to be too pesky and spam them with PMs. I'm looking to get some Stealth F5s though too so might need to PM them anyway.

This might be a rookie/self-explanatory question but apart from permanently altering your truck are there any other drawbacks to cutting out the cross-member assuming the bumper is robust enough to make up for it?

    Thanks again!

The bumper will replace the cross member as it will tie those points together. You can fab them so you dont have to cut it, but they always look funny and stick out far from the cab and body.
Main drawback I guess would be if you stuffed it hard you could potentially tweak the frame, but honestly if you use decent steel and the welder is sufficiently hitting all the joints, your have to stuff it so hard that the frame would probably be tweaked regardless

Thanks! I assumed as much, but always good to make sure one's assumptions are correct! I also prefer the look that is possible when the cross member gets removed so definitely considering going that route.

Hey! This was a bumper that I designed and had a local fabricator add his touch to it. It's not something you can just order, but a good fabricator should be able to do something similar.

Here are a couple of better shots.

Thanks for the info and great pics @SCSPerformance !!! That is definitely one of my favourite Tacomas and would be what I'd like mine to look like if I didn't have to keep things a little more city practical! Out of curiosity did you have to remove the cross member to fit that bumper?

The factory front cross-member was chopped off and this was what the fabricator came up with.

I daily drive the truck. It's fun to get around in, but the MPGs suck.

Thanks for sharing that @SCSPerformance ! Looks pretty damn good!

Must be a fun daily driver for sure! I'm mostly worried about still fitting into my parkade etc... they don't build those tall/big enough around here! ;)
