I stopped in a local garage the other day and the owner had an "01" dc.
He seemed to hint around that my dc was rather rare being a 2.7 4 cylender with the TRD package.
Can anyone confirm this or know where I can get the production numbers?
He also said that they only made them in black. (4 bangers with TRD).

From the info I have so far:
    2002 Toyota Tacoma
    Doublecab, SR5, TRD.
    2.7 litre, 4 cylender motor, 2 wheel drive (4x2)
    Black/sandlewood

Door code for rear and tranny is: BO4A/A340E
Which what I can find is 8.4 in rear end (8 inch ring, 4:56 gears, open diff)
    with the 6 cylender transmission.

The way I understand it is that the TRD 4x2's were all built on the 4 wheel drive platform. Beefy suspension, larger rims and tires, skid plates.
And that the SR5 was some kinda chrome package for front and rear bumper.

Just curious if anyone knows more about the truck that what I have found.
Also I thought I saw once the link for the vin # that you could put in to see if your recall was done for the ball joint. I know mine was, just curious at looking.
    Thanks ahead.

    lol.
4 cyl has been very good to me. I don't tow anything with it.
I hit the occasional fire trail for some hunting and fishing but thats about it.
window sticker says 18/22 mpg and at 73,xxx miles and a toytec leveling kit with ome's, I still get every bit of that when I travel home to indiana.
I do wish sometimes that I had about 50 or more ponies but not enough to get into any mods.

Nope. No lockers. That much I can confirm.
Seriously contemplating a lock-right or something as it seems lately I have found myself "off" road lately.

Correction: There is no locker in 4cyl AUTOs... the manual 4 bangers had the e-locker option, although most don't have it.
