The truck is starting to wear me down. Mostly because it looks shit. But I have some fresh ideas and a couple days off so maybe it will start to look better. Or I may let it sit till next week.

First California squirrel I've seen. Has a striking resemblance to a Missouri squirrel. About a million years ago I stayed in Fullerton for a couple of months. Is that anywhere near your general area?

That's about a hour away, probably only 30 to 40 miles... so in LA, no that's not near me. We have a few that come by for daily nuts. We have raised 3 and set 2 free. One we kept died after 3 years. Was the dumbest squirrel I ever saw.... wouldnt climb a tree. It fell out of one as a baby with its eyes closed (like new born kittens), the eyes stay closed during/after birth for like 10 days.
The one being fed and the others will come in the house all the way to the kitchen, despite us having a cat.... he is a pretty dumb cat also. Just wants a friend to play with.

My brother feeds a squirrel in his backyard. He goes outside and screams, "here squirrely squirrel" and it runs down the tree and grabs whatever he has in his hand. Several years ago there was a family of foxes in town and he would feed them at night. I went with him a couple of times and he would shine his headlights in a field and he would call to them. They would circle around and get really close and he would pitch the food out and they would grab and go. One night I asked him to not pitch it and just hold it out. They came and took it from his hands. I have pics around here somewhere. I think I'll look for them. I'm bored af.

I like wildlife and if treated properly they will be annoying from time to time, but are good to have around.

I've been doing some of that myself. Not nearly that much though. I'm not too crazy about it. The most I have done this year is 132 hours in 2 weeks.

I like wildlife too. I'm fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time outdoors and have had the pleasure of seeing some remarkable things animals do.

I almost got taken out by a hawk standing by the local park pond fishing... thing dove down nearly missing my head to snag a trout. He missed 3 times, finally got it on the 4th. Not a care in the world that I was standing there. Scared the shit out me the first time, then just amazed he kept circling and coming back to the exact same spot with me standing less than 2 feet away.
